1. Data We Collect

We collect information you give us directly and information generated when you use our platform.

Information you provide

Identity & contact: Full name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email address.
Insurance details: Existing policy numbers, sum insured, claim history, health declarations, vehicle registration details.
Payment details: We do not store card numbers. Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant gateways.
Communications: Queries, feedback, and complaint details submitted via forms, email, or phone.

Automatically collected information

IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers.
Pages visited, time spent, clicks, and referral URL via server logs and cookies.
Approximate location derived from IP address (city/state level).

Information from third parties

Proposal status, policy issuance confirmation, and premium details from partner insurers.
KYC verification status from UIDAI / NSDL / CKYC Registry when required.

2. How We Use Your Data

To generate and display insurance quotes from IRDAI-registered partner insurers.
To facilitate policy purchase, renewal, endorsement, and claim filing on your behalf.
To contact you by phone, SMS, email, or WhatsApp regarding your enquiry, policy, or pending transaction.
To send service notifications: premium due reminders, policy expiry alerts, claim status updates.
To personalise your experience and show plans relevant to your profile and browsing history.
To improve the platform, fix bugs, detect fraud, and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations — including IRDAI guidelines, PMLA, and tax laws.

3. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored on servers located in India. We retain personal data for as long as you are an active customer and for a minimum of 7 years after the policy expiry or last transaction, as required by IRDAI and tax regulations.

Anonymised and aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely. If you request deletion, we will erase personal identifiers while retaining the minimum data required by law.

4. Who We Share Data With

Partner insurers: When you request a quote, apply for, or purchase a policy, we share your details with the relevant insurer. Their privacy policy independently applies to data they receive.
Service providers: Cloud hosting, email delivery, SMS gateway, payment processors, and analytics providers — all bound by confidentiality agreements.
KYC & verification agencies: UIDAI, CKYC Registry, and NSDL for identity verification as mandated by IRDAI.
Regulatory authorities: IRDAI, IRDAI Ombudsman, SEBI, income tax authorities, or courts — when required by law or court order.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Your Rights

Under Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
Restriction: Ask us to pause processing pending resolution of a complaint.
Withdraw consent: Opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by calling us.
